Why go to Paris or London or Rome or even to the moon when we got Brooklyn right down the road from Philly? We're going to walk the bridge, explore Brooklyn Heights, then head towards the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, Prospect Park, and Park Slope. Figure 5-9 miles of meandering.
We meet at Hill House at 745am or the Hamilton Station of NJ Transit at 9am to catch the 906 train to NYC Penn Station. From Penn Station we take the subway to the Brooklyn Bridge area. We walk the Bridge to Brooklyn Heights where we will explore and eat before walking or taking the subway again to The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. We'll explore the gardens for awhile, admission $8, then meander though Prospect Park and the Park Slope neighborhood before taking the subway back to Penn Station. We'll catch a train back to Philly between 5-6 pm.
We can meet at Hill House at 745am to carpool or at Hamilton train station at 9am. Let me know in the comment area where you will meet us.

At Hill House each carpooler chips in $7 at the start plus splits the parking fee. Here's a Google Map link to Hill House :http://local.google.c...
Warm weather hike info:
1- Put on sun bloc before leaving home.
2- Bring lots of water. Best to get a 3 liter hydration pack or reservoir.
3- Only a forecast of thunderstorms and torrential rains will cancel a hike. A normal rain is no problem in warm weather.
If the weather is iffy I'll email a weather report a few days before the hike.. To see more about the weather visit: http://www.hikingarou...
Have your event fee ready in dollar bills so we can get going right away. No coins, dubloons, or 5's or 10"s. Thank you.
Please be aware of our group rating system. We need a 5 star rating or no rating. Read more about this at: http://www.hikingarou...
If you change your mind please change your RSVP. No-shows may be barred from events. Email or call if you have a problem.
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
