Bicycling on a hot day is a lot easier than walking because you make your own breeze. EAch week we will do a different ride.
This week we do a loop to Conshohocken starting at Hill House. It's an 18 mile loop with 2 big hills. From Hill House we head downhill to Forbidden Drive and then the bike path to Ridge Ave. We go down Main St in Manayunk for maybe a mile until we can bike the canal bike path along the Schuylkill. This joins up with the bike path that goes to Valley Forge. We'll get off in Conshohocken and head up Barren Hill Rd. We cross Ridge Ave and go down to Forbidden Drive to complete the loop.
After biking we can get a bite outside in the gardens at Top of the Hill deli or sit on the porch at Valley Green.
Even though I once owned three bikes and did all work myself, including building wheels, I haven't biked much in the last 5 years. Many times in the distant past I went bike camping, self contained carrying all my own equipment, for months on end during the summer. At one time, the bike was my major form of transportation.

Always good idea to bring some food, your camera, and on hot days a dry shirt that you can change into.
Warm weather hike info:
• Apply sunscreen before leaving home. See more about sunscreens under Files.
• Bring lots of water. Best to get a 3 liter hydration pack or reservoir. More about water: http://www.hikingarou...
• Only a forecast of thunderstorms and torrential rains will cancel a hike. A normal rain is no problem in warm weather.
