I recently have hiked in California and enjoy the exercise and opportunities to take photographs. I would love to explore new sites of Philadelphia and surrounding areas. I look forward to meeting people with common interests.
I love the chance to workout, meet people and explore new treasures of Philadelphia.

Fantastic variety of hikes that reach out to friendly, outgoing people.

Hi Arlene the longest of the trails takes 2 hrs start to finish, We will then have lunch and will leave probably by 4 pm.
Gorgeous photos--you have a real eye for lighting, Arlene. A wonderful perspective.
Again, thank you...

Hi, Arlene. Thank you for the nice comment!
Welcome Arlene!
I know that drill. I see look forward to every Thurs when i see my kids. I am sure we will hook up at some point. Have fun on Tues with your son. stay in touch. If you would like to, why not use email next time.
Hey Arlene! Actually, I was thinking the meditation would probably be better than the last one we went to. :)
We can opt to go for a longer distance, however, people mostly enjoy Pennypack Trust for it's beautiful scenery and wildlife. Their trails are really not considered strenuous or demanding to qualify for a moderate hike. You know, if you're really interested in moderate or intermediate hikes, I would strongly recommend a great meetup group called, "Trail Dames of Delaware Valley." Lori (their leader) has some great meetups (Appalachian Trail, Delaware Water Gap). (I think you'd like it!)
Hi Arlene, this is an awesome idea. I know we can have the scavenger hunt in other venues, however we do have such wonderful museums, historical and cultural places in the Philly area. This event would be great for the spring or fall.
Arlene- the hiking groups I attend are The Philadelphia Hiking Meetup Group and The Get out of Philadelphia Meetup Group. Both have many local hikes as well as traveling to more remote locations. The people who come to the hikes are generally very friendly and we all go out to eat afterwards. Its really a lot of fun. I'll tell you more later. Got to go to work. Have a good day!
