Hi Maggie, Yes they do rent kayaks at lake Nockamixen. Learning to kayak is mostly just doing it, and while you are with a group there is always some form of teaching going on one way or the other. There are many techniques and they evolve as well. Last week I had to revise the technique I had learned and practiced. The good thing is if you have an experienced teacher they know if the new techniques are better then the ones before so it is worthwhile to switch. So come on over and enjoy. Hilde
