Hi Karen, Since are into fitness, I know this is last minute, if U have time I would like 2 invite U 2 a Water Awareness event tomorrow, Sat 3/19, @ 12:30pm. It'll b held @ the Fairfield Inn Marriott / 405 E Absecon Blvd / Absecon. (Heading in2 AC on rite hand side b4 Home Depot) We'll have people coming from all over, even an hour to 2 hours away, & will be a great event. If U can come feel free 2 bring a fresh sample of Ur drinking water & bottled water & we'll test it 4 free. Warmly, Selina

Hi Karen, yeah I'd love to go climbing sometime. How far of travelling (like a weekend trip or would i have to take off some work too)? I have my own sport climbing gear but no trad protection. Also what difficulty range of climbing? 5.11 is the hardest i've successfully climbed and that was when i was in better shape... 8's and 9's are more my pace ;) and anything do-able is fun!

Hiking Around Philly is different from most hiking groups because we hike (and sometimes bicycle) off the beaten path. We hike in the woods and the city. We go places that won't be found on any hiker's map. The events are usually within a 1.5 hour drive from Philly, though we sometimes visit NYC or the Jersey shore. Once each year we go to Acadia National Park in Maine, one of the best places in the world to hike. We sometimes participate in a conservation work party in a area we hike.

And, we do a lot more than hike; we explore. Whether it be a trail in a park or a back alley in the city, we always look for neat things, and we find them. Did you notice the 25 foot dinosaur made from pink suntan lotion bottles? We take time to appreciate a beautiful tree, a low flying eagle, or a hickory horned devil (look it up). We visit museums, historic houses, bakeries, battleships, and other neat places. We appreciate architecture, sculptures (Philly has more than any other US city, yea!), or whatever we find near our path. After a hike we often eat at a special place. And, we rarely repeat ourselves.

Fearless lost explorers and sidney (fleas) are curious. This group is not for people content to only go down one trail and up another, nor for people happy to take the same or beaten path. This group may also be different because only one person leads hikes, gets folks lost, and does the bulk of administrative work. So, please read on to make sure you want to be a proud flea.
