I allow dogs on most hikes because I enjoy having dogs along and want to encourage dog owners to walk their dogs. Usually there is no problem for the dog or group. This does not mean I can recommend a particular hike for your dog. As the owner, you need to make sure the location, terrain, and route is suitable for your particular pet. Often I am not sure the terrain is suitable for humans!
If you have a question contact me. I'll do my best to describe the hike so you can make a decision.
I usually check to see if dogs are prohibited from an area, however, sometimes this information is not readily available. The owner is ultimately responsible for ascertaining this information.
If you bring a dog:
• Make sure the dog is friendly to both people and other dogs.
• Keep your dog under control at all times. Do not allow your dog, no matter how friendly, to charge other people.
It is not proper to bring a dog that barks a lot or growls.
